ITI-CERTH is the Coordinator of ELLIOT. ITI-CERTH researchers also contribute to the following project activities: research on assessing and mitigating bias and fairness in multimodal foundation models; research on efficiency fine-tuning; research on explanability in multimodal foundation models; coordination of user needs analysis for ELLIOT use cases; coordination of ELLIOT's Virtual Innovation Lab.
CERTH (Centre for Research and Technology Hellas) - ITI (Information Technologies Institute) is one of the leading research institutes in Europe in the fields of Informatics and Telecommunications. CERTH-ITI is participating in ELLIOT through the Multimedia Knowledge and Social Media Analytics Laboratory (MKLab), which has significant experience in topics such as ΑΙ/ML for multimedia, Semantics, Social Media and Big Data Analytics, Multimodal and Sensor Data Analysis, Brain Computer Interfaces, e- Health, and Cultural, Media/Journalism and Security applications. MKLab has been involved with leading roles in over 100 relevant projects EC projects, many in the media domain. It was the Coordinator of the AI4Media Network of Excellence.
